Why Counseling?

by saraj on June 26, 2010

“It isn’t that they can’t see the solution. It’s that they can’t see the problem.”- G.K. Chesterton

I believe that people have the capability to reach their maximum potential. What could be missing are the tools or the ability to use the tools we have. The saying, “You can’t teach old dogs new tricks”, may be true for dogs but for humans, we can choose at anytime to change our behavior and adjust our way of thinking. Doing this may cause a dramatic shift in the foundations that we have built our lives upon and may cause some problems in our relationships.  As a therapist, I believe it is my job to help people examine these changes and adjust in a way that helps them to reach their maximum potential.
